Dracula is a Hit !
The field trip Mrs. Roscoe planned to Dracula was a GREAT field trip for the sophomore class! We went to Actor's Theatre in Louisville, KY on September 18th, 2008 and it was an amazing day. Photos will be coming very soon from the day. Sophomores had such a good attitude on the trip and we chaperones were pretty impressed with behavior overall. Thanks again to Mrs. Roscoe who received a $500.00 grant/stipend from Actors to help with the high cost of transportation. I'd like to thank the sophomore class for such a great trip and all the appreciation you showed us as teachers. It feels nice to know you really appreciated and enjoyed the trip!
Kentucky Center Art Academy Summer 2008!
This was my first summer without a lot of Western Kentucky University coursework so I decided to participate in the Kentucky Center for the Arts 2008 Art Academy. It was a lot of fun and worth the time to attend. I received a personal copy of the theater and visual 'Arts Toolkit' to use in my classroom. Along with those toolkits I also received good training sessions on how to integrate humanities across disciplines.
This photograph shows me with a tribal mask I made during an art workshop that represents my personality. It's an earthy flower that has roots in all directions (just like me).
